g-hook 1- 4oz skien black yarn. Chain 30 st.

1. Turn and dc in third chain from hook.
2. dc across.(28)
3. continue dc rows until piece is 14 inches long.
4. Now decrease begins. decrease - same as dc but work off only first two loops then insert hook and draw thread through next space work off two loops then work off last two.Do this for the first and last two stitches on next four rows. This forms the flap.
5. Stitch sides of even rows closed.
6. ch 20 inch chain for the handle attach to sides.
7. Chain 10 attach to flap in middle for button loop to close bag.
8. Attach pretty button. all done
