Asymmetrical Cross Stitch Poncho

Materials and Supplies:  2 skeins of Red Heart Plush yarn in the color of your choice ; Crochet hook size P or Q (whichever achieves the gauge listed) ; Scissors; Tapestry needle.

Directions
Chain 203 (odd multiple of 3 plus 1 and one ch to turn) .

Row 1: Sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each ch.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc).  (Skip 1 sc, dc in next sc, dc in skipped dc) across to last sc.  Dc in last sc.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each dc.
Row 4: Ch 5 (counts as 1st dc plus ch 2).  (Skip 2 sc, dc in next sc, ch 2) across ending with a dc in last sc.
Rows 5 & 6: Ch 5 (counts as 1st dc plus ch 2).  (Dc in next dc, ch 2) across ending with dc in last dc.
Row 7: Ch 1.  Sc in each dc and ch across.
Rows 8 - 31: Repeat Rows 2 & 3.  Do not cut yarn at the end of Row 31.  Work one round of sc around entire poncho.  Cut yarn and weave in loose ends.

Finishing
Fold poncho in half lengthwise.  Leave approximately 1/4 of the poncho open beginning with the fold for the neck opening.  Slip stitch the next 2/4 of the poncho closed.  Leave the last 1/4 of the poncho open.  Work one round of crab stitch around neck opening.
